"God is MOST Glorified in me when I am MOST satisfied in HIM!"- John Piper "The chief end of man is to Glorify God by enjoying Him forever" "You have capacities for joy which you can scarcely imagine. They were made for the enjoyment of God." -Desiring God by Piper

Hiding God's word in our heart

As most of you know we meet @ 9am on Sunday mornings in the gameroom of the theatre to pray together and memorize God's word. We know that when we hear and understand scripture we have heard the voice of God. I think most of us try so hard to "hear" God that we don't pick up the thing called "the WORD" of God. So join with us and memorize scripture. here are a couple of verses we are working on right now on Sundays. Ephes. 1:17-19
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. [18] I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, [19] and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,

Col. 3:1-11
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. [2] Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. [3] For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. [4] When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
[5] Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. [6] Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. [7] You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. [8] But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. [9] Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices [10] and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. [11] Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
